Frequently Asked Questions
- Why hire a personal trainer?
How well do you think a sports team would perform without a coach? A trainer serves as your coach to motivate you to develop good habits around fitness and nutrition. Most people need guidance and clear direction when developing these habits that will become a regular part of your life. If you are like most people, you have a life team comprised of doctors, financial advisors, clergy, home assistants and more. A trainer will be a valued member of that life team as well, insuring you keep your physical health and well being in tune as well.
- How many sessions a week should I meet with a personal trainer?
This depends upon your goals, how quickly you want to achieve them, your schedule and time available to exercise, and your budget... but when considering the cost, be sure to remember that this is your health and there is nothing on earth that is more important... because without it you have nothing. On average, most clients do best when they meet with a personal trainer 2-3 times per week... less than that many people will slack off and not get nearly as much out of it. The more frequently you meet with your personal trainer the faster you'll see results and achieve your goals and there are several reasons for this... consistency, accountability, motivation, guidance. It's proven that you'll work much harder with your trainer than on your own.
- How long till I see results?.
Exercise has a cumulative effect. It honestly depends primarily on how bad you want to achieve your goals and how hard you are willing to work. My personal training programs will allow you to get the most out of your fitness and nutrition. On average, most clients lose approximately 1 pound of body fat (not scale weight) per week and often will lose 6-12 pounds in a 6 week period. If you are consistent with workouts and follow the meal recommendations I provide, we typically see noticeable physical changes in 3 weeks.
- What kind of equipment is used?.
The Gym In Motion Mobile Gym is fully equipped with state of the art cardio machines, free weights, functional strength training equipment and CV equipment just to highlight a few.
- Do you offer payment plans?
Yes. Nearly all of our packages can be split up into multiple payments. Gym In Motion can accept payments in the form of cash, cheque, direct debit and credit card payments thru Paypal.
- I have tried everything to lose weight, is there something you can do for me?
Losing body fat effectively is the result of a combination of specific nutrition, calorie burning aerobic exercise and resistance exercise carried out consistently for a particular duration of time. We usually find that when you think you are doing "everything," one or more elements specified above is either not being carried out correctly or is not being carried out at all. Sometimes people will try a variety of fad diets one after the other for short periods of time and then give up. Or they may get on the treadmill at the gym for 15 minutes twice a week and wonder why they can't lose fat. Body fat reduction or "getting lean" is the single most requested goal of clients who come to us. I will work with you on an effective nutrition and fat-burning exercise program and will discuss how long you need to sustain this program to achieve results. They will then help you to attain the discipline and motivation to carry it out.
- Why should I choose to use Gym In Motion for my company?
It has been proven that exercise helps boost morale and overall self-esteem. Workers that are happy are more productive. When the employee is more productive you increase the overall success of your business. By working with Gym In Motion you will be taking a step in the right direction of improving your companies well being .
- My Company already provides a gym with equipment. Why would your services be any different?
Many workers prefer not to use a gym facility at the office for a few reasons. They may not have the support and the motivation to exercise, as well as feeling uncomfortable training in front of co workers, and they might not have anyone to help monitor there success and properly train them. The problem is that most equipment is outdated and can be harmful if not properly used. If you choose to workout at your office facility our trainers can teach you to properly use the equipment.
- What kind of team morale building opportunities does Gym In Motion provide or offer?
We can make working out a fun competition. We divide people into groups and set goals to see who can decrease their body fat ratio faster. Team members will help motivate the other employees on their team. This will help build a sense of community and strengthen the bonds between the workers. Each team will be able to measure their success in the reduction of body fat ratio.
- What if I chose to workout with my own equipment at my house and not use the mobile gym facility?
Gym In Motion provides a service that allows you both options. If you already have a fitness facility in your own home, our trainers will teach you how to properly use your own equipment and provide a workout routine accustomed to your own environment, or you have the option of using our mobile gym which is fully equipped and ready to go. Gym In Motion will always be prepared with state of the art fitness equipment and exercise accessories to fit your needs.
