The FitStream™ National Care Access Initiative Fully Funded Weekly Live Cognitive & Physical Fitness for UK Care Communities Applications for January 5, 2027 start closes on November 30, 2026 Budgetary pressures and rising operational overheads have forced many UK care homes to cut back on external specialist wellness activities. The result is often "activity poverty" and increased sedentary isolation for vulnerable residents. Through the FitStream™ National Care Access Initiative, Gym In Motion Ltd is funding 100 free connections to our live group streamed, interactive fitness sessions for care homes facing resource constraints across the UK. As a committed social enterprise, Gym In Motion Ltd uses proceeds generated from our premium private sector contracts to cross-subsidise and fully fund this national initiative at zero cost to eligible homes. What FitStream™ Delivers to Your Lounge Our sessions are broadcast live from our professional multi-camera 4K studio. Designed specifically for older adults, persons living with dementia and residents with mobility challenges, our evidence-based "dual-tasking" sessions combine physical movement with cognitive stimulation: Turnkey & Zero Preparation: Every session includes complete, ready-to-print PDF activity packs emailed in advance—giving valuable planning time back to your team. No Specialist Equipment Needed: All your home needs is a communal lounge TV or screen connected to Zoom, a working printer, and pens or pencils. Engaging, Live-Hosted Formats: Sessions alternate weekly between our flagship interactive modules, including FitBingo™, FitWord™, and FitHoy™. Proven Health Outcomes: Rhythmic cognitive stimulation helps support falls prevention, neuromuscular coordination, and active social connection. How the Initiative Works Duration & Cost: Eligible care homes receive 24 weeks of weekly live sessions at £0.00. Schedule: Group sessions stream live via Zoom every Tuesday at 14:15 GMT, launching on January 5, 2027. Weekly Resources: Activity packs and Zoom access links are emailed to your nominated contact on the Thursday prior to each session. Beyond 24 Weeks: Homes that complete the initiative and wish to continue can access an exclusive subsidised rate of £52.00 + VAT per calendar month (standard pricing is £65.00 + VAT/month). There is zero obligation to continue after the free period. Eligibility Criteria To ensure these 100 funded places reach the residents who need them most, applicants should meet the following criteria: 1. Care Setting: Independent care homes, charitable trusts, or small regional operators (3 facilities or fewer) caring primarily for older adults or individuals with dementia or physical disabilities. All fitness levels catered for. 2. Demonstrated Need: Care homes with a high proportion of Local Authority-funded residents (approximately 60%+), or homes currently holding a CQC rating of "Requires Improvement" seeking evidence-based improvements under the "Responsive" or "Caring" domains. 3. Technical Setup: A communal lounge screen/TV capable of receiving a Zoom feed, reliable internet access and a functioning printer for weekly activity sheets. The Care Home Commitment To maintain an active, engaging experience for your residents, participating homes agree to: Lounge Facilitation: Provide at least one member of care or activities staff in the lounge during the session to hand out printed materials, assist residents, and support movement prompts. Consistent Attendance: Maintain at least a 75% attendance record over the 24-week period so that valuable live spaces are not left unused. Quick 15-Second Impact Check: Complete a 15-second digital check-in (confirming resident headcount and an engagement rating) within 24 hours of each session. This quick data allows us to measure social impact and keep the service fully funded.
